WESPAC hires professionals with a great balance between their dance experience, education and talents in teaching and dancing.  These professionals are experts in various dance styles including hip hop, jazz, ballet, tap, lyrical, contemporary, tumbling, hula and belly dancing.  It is they who transfer the vision for WESPAC and continue to grow the company through the word of mouth of clients.  Most of them have been with WESPAC for over 10 years and therefore make up our second family.  Here are some of their biographies.

Jaseida Mojica is the owner and director of WESPAC which is also known as Westminster Performing Arts Center. As a true entrepreneur, it was her ambition to start a company that would showcase her talents and validate her work. Jaseida graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry from the California State University in Fullerton and received a dance scholarship from the Defore Foundation for the Arts. As a young child, she always longed for the opportunity to dance, but unfortunately the finances were not available. She was a self - taught dancer until age 18 when she auditioned for a spot to teach dance at a Huntington Beach gym and was immediately awarded a permanent hip hop class teaching her peers. After receiving her certifications from the American Council on Exercise, ACE, and the American Heart Association, AHA, she taught and choreographed for several gyms, universities, schools, community centers and dance studios in Orange County from Brea to Lake Forest. It was then that she performed for Disney which gave her the opportunity to work with celebrities like Arnold Schwarzeneggar, Maria Shriver and their kids. After receiving her dance scholarship, she was able to choreograph for one of Suzanne O’Connor’s jazz pieces featured in the first Pulse scholarship showcase which was taken on tour throughout the OC school system. Then at age 24 she was able to dance for Monie Adamson, the choreographer of MADD TV in the Dance Educational Touring Company, Dance E.T.C., based at OCC; that same year she started her own dance studio which is now known as WESPAC. Jaseida has appeared in music videos and television, and choreographed for many professional actors, singers, dancers and corporations. Many of Jaseida’s students have achieved professional careers in music videos, film, and television while others continue to dance as a way to express their passion in life.

Brenda was born into a musical family—including her Hawaiian grandfather who was a sought-after steel guitar player in the 30s and 40s and whose photo and name were published in the book Hawaii’s Music and Musicians— and has sung and played music from various genres since childhood.  She began to learn the hula from her Native Hawaiian mother at the tender age of four and has continued learning through mentors, personal experience, and travel.  Deemed a po’opua’a—one word for lead student—Brenda began teaching dance at a young age in the traditional Hawaiian format.  She has traveled throughout French Polynesia and Hawaii.  Though she is not fluent in any other language, she speaks, understands, reads, and writes quite a bit of French, Hawaiian, Samoan, Tahitian, and Maori.  Brenda dances professionally for Duke’s of Malibu, CA and Kela Catering, and recreationally with her children for Le Polynesia Cultural Performing Arts Center.  She has also performed in award-winning performances with the premiere Tahitian group, Hitia O Te Ra.  Most importantly, Brenda is a loving family person and enjoys children.  She is passionate and knowledgeable about Polynesian cultures and dances, and enthusiastically shares this with all who show interest.
